What Is Converted

Page Positioning

The conversion process will maintain each element’s page position and z-index (depth order).

Layers

Layers will be retained.

Linked Text Boxes

Linked text boxes will be recreated in the new document. Differences between the QuarkXPress and InDesign text layout engines will likely cause the text to split between the linked boxes differently.

Runarounds

Although there are differences in the runaround settings between QuarkXPress and InDesign, you will find that the automatic conversion process is highly accurate.

Style Sheets

Both Paragraph and Character Style Sheets are maintained through the conversion process. Years of our team perfecting the conversion process ensures that all style data is copied over.

Images

Images, both Linked and Embedded, are recreated as originally designed in the converted document.
